All of these were constantly engaged in prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.All these were constantly devoting themselves to prayer, together with certain women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, as well as his brothers.

Now in regard to the eating of meat sacrificed to idols, we know that idols are nothing in the world and that there is only one God.Hence, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “no idol in the world really exists,” and that “there is no God but one.”
