Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. 1 John 3:4	Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness. law righteousness

Godliness makes a nation great, but sin is a disgrace to any people. Proverbs 14:34	Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people. righteousness
Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. Romans 6:14	For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace. grace law
Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways. Isaiah 1:16	Wash yourselves. Make yourself clean. Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes. Cease to do evil. purification evil
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. Galatians 5:16	But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. Spirit desires
But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:22	But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. trust faith promises
But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. Isaiah 53:5	But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. Jesus healing
I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent. Luke 5:32	I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance. repentance conversion Jesus
Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity, but it destroys the wicked. Proverbs 10:29	The way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity. reliability law
This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. 1 John 1:5	This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. God light
But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die. Ezekiel 18:21	But if the wicked turns from all his sins that he has committed, and keeps all my statutes, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live. Keep the commandments and keep your life; despising them leads to death. Proverbs 19:16	He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die. law eternal life
So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin. 1 Peter 4:1	Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin. suffering
Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:19	Namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation. salvation Jesus world
You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. James 4:2	You lust, and don’t have. You murder and covet, and can’t obtain. You fight and make war. You don’t have, because you don’t ask. desires prayer
This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 1 John 4:10	In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins. love Savior reconciliation
When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. Psalm 32:3	When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. confession speaking sickness

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. Hebrews 12:1	Therefore let’s also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with perseverance the race that is set before us. life overcoming
Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant, overlooking the sins of his special people? You will not stay angry with your people forever, because you delight in showing unfailing love. Micah 7:18	Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage?
