Father (2/3)

But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.
Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”
Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. Therefore be merciful, even as your Father is also merciful.
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Yahweh your God disciplines you.
This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’
For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s.
If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him.
Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there my servant will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever.
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions.
“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I desire, but what you desire.
This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples.
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.Who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love, in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins.
To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who overcomes, I will give to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.
No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.Whoever denies the Son doesn’t have the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also.
But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on me will also live because of me.
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning.
