Moses remained there on the mountain with the Lord forty days and forty nights. In all that time he ate no bread and drank no water. And the Lord wrote the terms of the covenant—the Ten Commandments—on the stone tablets. Exodus 34:28	So he was there with the Lord for forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread or drink water. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:17	And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. salvation Spirit

Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled. Romans 15:4	For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. encouragement hope
