Bible Verses about the World

Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
For what does it benefit a person to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage battle according to the flesh. For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh.
These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age.For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age.
The world is passing away and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God continues to live forever. The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever.
You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.You adulterers and adulteresses, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s.
For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it, either. If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to the whole creation.”
For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith.
Take care that no one deceives himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul? For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?
And the insignificant things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, so that no human may boast before God.God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist, that no flesh should boast before God.
I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them away from the evil one.I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.
Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth.Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.
Who is the one who overcomes the world, but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
See how great a love the Father has given us, that we would be called children of God; and in fact we are. For this reason the world does not know us: because it did not know Him.See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him.
If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse.
Through these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world on account of lust.By which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
