Bible Verses about Humility

With all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love.Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering.Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.Pride ends in humiliation, while humility brings honor.
By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches and honor and life.True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life.
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.

He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get.
The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, And before honor is humility.Fear of the Lord teaches wisdom; humility precedes honor.
Good and upright is the Lord; Therefore He teaches sinners in the way. The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way.The Lord is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way.
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly.
And said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great.”Then he said to them, “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me also welcomes my Father who sent me. Whoever is the least among you is the greatest.”
For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen.

He must increase, but I must decrease.He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.
