It is better to have a little and fear the Lord than to possess immense wealth and suffer anguish.Better is a little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble with it.
Just as he came forth naked from his mother’s womb, so shall he depart, naked as he came, with nothing remaining from his labor that he can carry away in his hands.As they came from their mother's womb, so they shall go again, naked as they came; they shall take nothing for their toil, which they may carry away with their hands.

It is better to acquire wisdom rather than gold, and more desirable to acquire understanding rather than silver.How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

The wealth of a rich man is his stronghold; he regards it as a high wall that cannot be scaled.The wealth of the rich is their strong city; in their imagination it is like a high wall.

If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees a brother in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him?How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help?
