Proverbs 27 - NRSV & NASB

Do not forsake your friend or the friend of your parent; do not go to the house of your kindred in the day of your calamity. Better is a neighbor who is nearby than kindred who are far away.Do not abandon your friend or your father’s friend, And do not go to your brother’s house on the day of your disaster; Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother far away.
The clever see danger and hide; but the simple go on, and suffer for it.A prudent person sees evil and hides himself; But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty.
Iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens the wits of another. As iron sharpens iron, So one person sharpens another.
Just as water reflects the face, so one human heart reflects another. As in water a face reflects the face, So the heart of a person reflects the person.
