We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law. | We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles; nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified. |
For no one can be regarded as justified in the sight of God by keeping the Law. The Law brings only the consciousness of sin. | Because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin. |

Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in accord with the law of the Lord. | Blessed are those whose way is blameless, Who walk in the Law of the Lord. |
And yet he is aware of everywhere I go; if he were to test me, I would emerge like pure gold. My footsteps have not strayed from the path he established; I have followed his way and never turned aside. | But He knows the way I take; When He has put me to the test, I will come out as gold. My foot has held on to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside. |
Then Peter addressed them: “I now understand how true it is that God has no favorites, but that in every nation all those who fear God and do what is right are acceptable to him.” | Opening his mouth, Peter said: “I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the one who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him.” |
Let those who are wise understand these words, and let the prudent acknowledge them. For straight are the ways of the Lord; the upright walk in them, but sinners stumble. | Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; Whoever is discerning, let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right, And the righteous will walk in them, But wrongdoers will stumble in them. |
The righteous is remembered with blessings, but the name of the wicked fades away. | The mentioning of the righteous is a blessing, But the name of the wicked will rot. |
The hope of the righteous brings them joy, but the expectations of the wicked are frustrated. | The hope of the righteous is gladness, But the expectation of the wicked perishes. |
Train a child in the way he should go, and he will not deviate from it, even in old age. | Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he grows older he will not abandon it. |
I have instructed you in the ways of wisdom and led you along the paths of righteousness. | I have instructed you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in upright paths. |
As we proceed in the path of your judgments, we wait for you, O Lord; your name and your renown are all that our heart desires. | Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, Lord, We have waited for You eagerly; Your name, and remembering You, is the desire of our souls. |
He is a rock, his deeds are perfect, and all of his ways are just. He is a God of truth who does no wrong; he is just and upright. | The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and just is He. |
For he guards the paths of justice and keeps watch over the way of his faithful ones. | Guarding the paths of justice, And He watches over the way of His godly ones. |
Truly, you bless the righteous, O Lord; you surround them with your goodwill as with a shield. | For You bless the righteous person, Lord, You surround him with favor as with a shield. |
The one who provides seed for sowing and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness. | Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. |
The proud man’s heart is not upright, but the righteous man will live because of his faith. | Behold, as for the impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous one will live by his faith. |
Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze on what lies before you. | Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. |
I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Repent and live! | “For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies,” declares the Lord God. “Therefore, repent and live!” |
If you listen to the voice of the Lord, your God, and you do what is right in his sight, if you listen to his ordinances and observe all of his laws, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you. | If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, and listen to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, the Lord, am your healer. |
I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith.
