The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears And rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit.The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
And the Lord is the One who is going ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not desert you or abandon you. Do not fear and do not be dismayed.And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares about you.Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Because in much wisdom there is much grief; and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain.For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Lord, all my desire is before You; And my sighing is not hidden from You.Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
As sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing and yet possessing all things.As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among the people, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
So remove sorrow from your heart and keep pain away from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting.Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
They will no longer hunger nor thirst, nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any scorching heat; for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Hear my prayer, Lord, and listen to my cry for help; Do not be silent to my tears; For I am a stranger with You, One who lives abroad, like all my fathers.Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.
“Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “Return to Me with all your heart, And with fasting, weeping, and mourning.”Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.
Then Job got up, tore his robe, and shaved his head; then he fell to the ground and worshiped. He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
The Lord opens the eyes of those who are blind; The Lord raises up those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous.The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous.
A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish son is a grief to his mother.A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.
Return and say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David says: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I am going to heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.”’Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord.
For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
The vine has dried up And the fig tree has withered; The pomegranate, the palm also, and the apple tree, All the trees of the field have dried up. Indeed, joy has dried up From the sons of mankind.The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.
Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have passed over me.Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
