| For this reason you must be ready as well; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will. | Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. |

| Now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not draw back from Him in shame at His coming. | And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. |

For it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. | Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. |
