Salvation (2/4)

Though the fig tree does not blossom, and no fruit is on the vines; though the produce of the olive fails and the fields yield no food; though the flock is cut off from the fold and there is no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the God of my salvation.Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
Because you are precious in my sight, and honored, and I love you, I give people in return for you, nations in exchange for your life.Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you.
For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
On God rests my deliverance and my honor; my mighty rock, my refuge is in God.My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture.Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.
For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.
For the Lord himself, with a cry of command, with the archangel's call and with the sound of God's trumpet, will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will be with the Lord forever. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.
But the one who endures to the end will be saved. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.I love you, Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.
Consequently he is able for all time to save those who approach God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
That is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us.For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
Now I would remind you, brothers and sisters, of the good news that I proclaimed to you, which you in turn received, in which also you stand, through which also you are being saved, if you hold firmly to the message that I proclaimed to you—unless you have come to believe in vain.Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it. It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.
For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.
Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved; for you are my praise.O Lord, if you heal me, I will be truly healed; if you save me, I will be truly saved. My praises are for you alone!
When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit. The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
As far as the east is from the west, so far he removes our transgressions from us.He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.
And having been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, “The one who is righteous will live by faith.”This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”
