| Deliver my soul, Yahweh, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue. | Rescue me, O Lord, from liars and from all deceitful people. |
| Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth. | Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. |
| For who is God, besides Yahweh? Who is a rock, besides our God? | For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? |
| Yahweh makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up. | The Lord makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up. |
| Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching in it with thanksgiving. | Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. |
| Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. | Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. |
| When pride comes, then comes shame, but with humility comes wisdom. | Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. |
| Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace, good will toward men. | Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased. |
| It will be that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. | But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. |
| Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth. | Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. |
