For we walk by faith, not by sight. | For we live by faith, not by sight. |
For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh. | For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. |

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. | Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. |
For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ. | For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. |
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s love, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. | May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. |
You being enriched in everything for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us. | You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. |
For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. | God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. |
Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day. | Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. |
For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory. | For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. |
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. | Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! |
As sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing and yet possessing all things. | Sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. |
For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have. | For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have. |
Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. | Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. |
But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation. | All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. |

Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. | Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. |
But “he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.” For it isn’t he who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends. | But, “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends. |
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work. | And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. |
Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected. Be comforted. Be of the same mind. Live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. | Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? | Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? |
For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens. | For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. |
Now may he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness. | Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. |

Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, and in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong. | That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. |
Namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation. | That God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. |
