Bible Verses about Righteousness

He who follows after righteousness and kindness finds life, righteousness, and honor.Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.
Who “will pay back to everyone according to their works.”God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”
But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed; the offspring of the wicked will perish.
Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but Yahweh weighs the hearts.A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart.
But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
For he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever.Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.
Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry.The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry.
To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice.To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “Don’t fear what they fear, neither be troubled.”But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”
Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age.For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.
Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noon day sun.Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.
Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers.Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers.
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.Ill-gotten treasures have no lasting value, but righteousness delivers from death.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.A wicked person earns deceptive wages, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.
It is a snare to a man to make a rash dedication, then later to consider his vows.It is a trap to dedicate something rashly and only later to consider one’s vows.
With my whole heart I have sought you. Don’t let me wander from your commandments.I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.

“No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh.“No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord.
