Bible Verses about the Law
- These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
- What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!
- “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up.
- For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it.
- The second is like this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.
- But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
- Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
- It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you today, that Yahweh your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
- Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
- For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
- But Yahweh’s loving kindness is from everlasting to everlasting with those who fear him,
his righteousness to children’s children,
to those who keep his covenant,
to those who remember to obey his precepts. - Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?
- Now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God require of you, but to fear Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, and to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul, to keep Yahweh’s commandments and statutes, which I command you today for your good?
- You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
- Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
- He has shown you, O man, what is good.
What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly,
to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? - This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.
- With my whole heart I have sought you.
Don’t let me wander from your commandments. - For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
- But let justice roll on like rivers,
and righteousness like a mighty stream. - Only take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, to love Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commandments, to hold fast to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- Beloved, if our hearts don’t condemn us, we have boldness toward God; so whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.
- I have chosen the way of truth.
