Bible Verses about Truth

  • He who walks blamelessly and does what is right,
    and speaks truth in his heart;
he who doesn’t slander with his tongue,
nor does evil to his friend,
nor casts slurs against his fellow man.
  • My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.
  • I have no greater joy than this: to hear about my children walking in truth.
  • Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
  • If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie and don’t tell the truth.
  • Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
  • Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.”
  • But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ.
  • Guide me in your truth, and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation.
I wait for you all day long.
  • Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.
  • The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
but the mouth of the wicked is perverse.
  • Keep your tongue from evil,
and your lips from speaking lies.
  • Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.
  • Every word of God is flawless.
He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
  • I have chosen the way of truth.
I have set your ordinances before me.
  • God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
  • But above all things, my brothers, don’t swear— not by heaven, or by the earth, or by any other oath; but let your “yes” be “yes”, and your “no”, “no”, so that you don’t fall into hypocrisy.
  • We know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
  • Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh,
but those who do the truth are his delight.
  • Of his own will he gave birth to us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
  • As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.
  • But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.
  • Put away from yourself a perverse mouth.
Put corrupt lips far from you.
  • For Yahweh’s word is right.
All his work is done in faithfulness.
  • Doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.

The Word became flesh and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only born Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.
