Bible Verses about Truth
- The one who leads a blameless life
and does what is right,
who speaks the truth from the heart
and does not slander anyone,
who does not harm a friend
and does not scorn a neighbor. - Nothing gives me greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- Dear children,
let us love not in word or speech
but in deed and truth. - Then Jesus said to those Jews who did believe in him,
“If you remain faithful to my word,
you will truly be my disciples.
You will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free.” - If we claim that we have fellowship with him
while we continue to live in darkness,
we are lying and do not live in the truth. - Jesus replied,
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father
except through me.” - Finally, brethren, let your minds be filled with whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, whatever is excellent, whatever is worthy of praise.
- Rather, professing truth and love, we will in all things grow into him who is the head, Christ.
- Guide me in your truth and instruct me,
for you are God, my Savior,
and in you I hope all the day long. - Make every effort to present yourself before God as one who is worthy of his approval, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, but who imparts the word of truth without any alteration.
- The lips of the righteous utter words of kindness,
but the mouth of the wicked knows only how to pervert. - Then keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from telling lies. - Faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the conviction about things that cannot be seen.
- Every word of God has proved to be true;
he is a shield to those who trust in him. - I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I have set your judgments before me. - God is Spirit,
and those who worship him
must worship in Spirit and truth. - Above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth, or use any oaths at all. Let your “Yes” mean “Yes” and your “No” mean “No.” Otherwise you may be condemned.
- There is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing secret that will not become known.
- The Lord abhors lying lips,
but he delights in those who are truthful. - We also know
that the Son of God has come
and given us understanding
so that we can know the one who is true.
And we are in the one who is true,
since we are in his Son Jesus Christ.
He is the true God and eternal life. - But as for you,
the anointing you received from him
remains in you,
and therefore you do not need anyone
to teach you.
This same anointing
teaches you everything
and is true and not false,
so abide in him just as he taught you. - Love does not rejoice over wrongdoing
but rejoices in the truth.
Love bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things. - By his own choice he gave us birth through the way of truth so that we may be a kind of firstfruits of all his creation.
- Turn away from the mouth that deceives
and keep your distance from lips that mislead. - For the word of the Lord is true,
and he is faithful in everything he does.
