- My son, don’t despise Yahweh’s discipline,
neither be weary of his correction;
for whom Yahweh loves, he corrects,
even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights. - As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.
- A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge;
but the simple pass on, and suffer for it. - For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.

but righteousness delivers from death. - Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
