| The afflictions of the righteous are many, But the Lord rescues him from them all. | The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. |
| Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. | Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing. |
| The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and just is He. | He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is! |
