Therefore, prepare your minds for action. Be calm and fix your hopes completely on the grace that you will be granted at the revelation of Jesus Christ.Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
I refrained from eating any choice food, abstaining from consuming meat or wine, and I did not anoint myself until those three weeks had passed.I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
If a man has recently been married, he is not to go off to battle nor have any other duty laid on him. He will be free to stay at home for one year so that he can bring happiness to the wife whom he has married.When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war or be charged with any business; he shall be free at home one year, and bring happiness to his wife whom he has taken.
But what I tell you is this: Do not swear at all, either by heaven, since it is God’s throne, or by earth, since that is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, since that is the city of the great King.But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
A fool is quick to show his anger, but a prudent man ignores an insult.A fool’s wrath is known at once, But a prudent man covers shame.
Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above all other names, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth.Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.

With our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. You have heard that it was said of old: ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that anyone who looks with lust at a woman has already committed adultery with her in his heart.You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
And every day, both in the temple and at home, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming Jesus as the Christ.And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.
During the day the Lord grants his kindness, and at night his praise is with me, a prayer to the living God.The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me— A prayer to the God of my life.
Hear my prayer, O Lord; do not be deaf to my cry or ignore my weeping. For I am a wayfarer before you, a nomad like all my ancestors.Hear my prayer, O Lord, And give ear to my cry; Do not be silent at my tears; For I am a stranger with You, A sojourner, as all my fathers were.
The end of all things is near. Therefore, lead disciplined lives and be watchful in prayer.But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.

He is the reflection of God’s glory and the perfect expression of his very being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. Achieving purification from sins, he took his seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high.Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
Exalted at God’s right hand, he received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.
Seek the Lord while he still may be found; call to him when he is close at hand.Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.

As much as possible, and to the extent of your ability, live in peace with everyone.If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

Are you not of far greater value than they?Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Do you suppose that I cannot appeal to my Father for help and he will not immediately send me more than twelve legions of angels?Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?

In all of your prayers and entreaties, pray always in the Spirit. To that end, keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints.Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
