No one has ever seen God. It is the only Son, God, who is at the Father’s side, who has made him known.No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.
Let your kindness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.
And now, dear children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not be put to shame by him at his coming.And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame.
Then, after he had spoken to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven, and there he took his place at the right hand of God.When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or how tall he stands, for the Lord has rejected him. He does not see the way that men see, for men look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Behold, I am standing at the door, knocking. If one of you hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with that person and that person with me.Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.
For our eyes are fixed not on what is seen but rather on that which cannot be seen. What is visible is transitory; what is invisible is eternal.So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
I will walk in complete freedom because I have sought your commands.I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments.
Therefore, you must also be prepared, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.
May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.
If you would seriously consider my reproof, I would pour out my thoughts to you and make my precepts known to you.Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise.

Be calm and fix your hopes completely on the grace that you will be granted at the revelation of Jesus Christ.So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.
