- Let your kindness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.
- As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
- A gentle reply turns away wrath,
but a harsh word arouses anger. - Pleasing words are like a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and affording health to the body. - Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of your opportunity. Let your speech always be gracious and seasoned with wisdom, so that you will know how to respond properly to all.
- In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.
- You shall not hate your brother in your heart, nor shall you rebuke your brother in any way, lest you bear sin because of him. You shall not seek vengeance nor bear a grudge against the children of your people. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
- Therefore, let us cease passing judgment on one another, but rather judge never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.
- Therefore, while we have the opportunity, let us labor for the good of all, but especially for those members of the household of the faith.
- Let mutual love continue, and do not forget to offer hospitality to strangers, for by doing this some have entertained angels without knowing it.
- Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render fair judgments, and show kindness and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor. Do not plot evil in your heart against one another.
- Amen, amen, I say to you,
whoever receives the one I send
receives me,
and whoever receives me
receives the one who sent me.
Jesus replied,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
no one can see the kingdom of God
without being born from above.” Even though I wander
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are at my side,
with your rod and your staff
that comfort me.Next verse!With image
