Bible Verses about Weakness
- For this reason, I rejoice when I endure weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and distress for the sake of Christ. For it is when I am weak that I am strong.
- But he answered me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” Hence, I will boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell within me.
- Even should my heart and my flesh fail,
God is the rock of my heart
and my portion forever. - He gives strength to the weary
and new vigor to those who are powerless. - Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares about you.
- Come to me, all you who are weary and overburdened, and I will give you rest.
- In the same way, even the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs that cannot be put into words.
- I can do all things in him who strengthens me.
- Stay awake and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak.
- For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but rather a spirit of power and of love and of wisdom.
- For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tested in every respect as we are, but without sinning.
- A cheerful heart is excellent medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - Speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves,
and defend the rights of the destitute. - Grant justice to the weak and the orphan;
defend the rights of the lowly and the poor. - The depths of the sea resound
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and your breakers
sweep over me.
