Bible Verses about the Kingdom

  • Are you not aware that wrongdoers will never inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, extortioners, drunkards, slanderers, swindlers—none of these will inherit the kingdom of God.
  • Rather, seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
  • Yours, O Lord, are greatness,
    power, glory, strength, and majesty,
for everything in heaven and on earth is yours.
    Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom;
you are exalted as head over all.
  • Fear not, little flock, for your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom.
  • From that day forward Jesus began to proclaim the message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.”
  • But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them. For it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”
  • Jesus replied,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
no one can see the kingdom of God
    without being born from above.”
  • The Lord will become king over the whole earth. When that day comes, he will be the only Lord, and his name will be the only name.
  • I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
  • As a result, you are no longer strangers and foreigners. Rather, you are fellow citizens of the saints and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.
  • The time of fulfillment has arrived, and the kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.
  • Therefore, brethren, be diligent in providing a firm foundation for your call and election. If you do this, you will never stumble, and you will receive a glorious welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • Cure the sick who are there, and say, ‘The kingdom of God has come unto you.’
  • How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of the messenger who announces peace,
who bears good news and proclaims glad tidings,
announcing salvation and saying to Zion,
    “Your God is king.”
  • Blessed are those who are persecuted in the cause of justice,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
  • For the Lord is our judge,
    the Lord is our lawgiver.
    The Lord is our king;
he is the one who will save us.
  • He has rescued us from the power of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
  • Jesus said,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
no one can enter the kingdom of God
unless he is born of water and the Spirit.”
  • Who is this King of glory?
    The Lord of hosts:
he is the King of glory. Selah
  • Therefore, whoever breaks even one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be considered least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever observes these commandments and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
  • Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my heavenly Father.
  • Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them. They will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.
  • To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
  • This is how you should pray:
    ‘Our Father in heaven,
    hallowed be your name.
    Your kingdom come.
    Your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.’
  • Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.

Now the works of the flesh are obvious: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you, as I warned you previously, that no one who does such things will inherit the kingdom of God.
