Let him seek peace and pursue it.” 1 Peter 3:10-11	For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. The vine has dried up, and the fig tree withered— the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all of the trees of the field are withered; for joy has withered away from the sons of men. Don’t forsake your friend and your father’s friend. Don’t go to your brother’s house in the day of your disaster. A neighbor who is near is better than a distant brother. Proverbs 27:10	Never abandon a friend— either yours or your father’s. When disaster strikes, you won’t have to ask your brother for assistance. It’s better to go to a neighbor than to a brother who lives far away. friendship family neighbor
You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you. Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them. Romans 16:17	And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you—not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 3:21	And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. Depart from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it. Psalm 34:14	Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. evil goodness peace
Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones. Proverbs 3:7-8	Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. awe blessing evil
I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26	And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. heart Spirit salvation
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:13	But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. Jesus nearness blood
Don’t turn to the right hand nor to the left. Remove your foot from evil. Proverbs 4:27	Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. evil righteousness following
Why do you set your eyes on that which is not? For it certainly sprouts wings like an eagle and flies in the sky. Proverbs 23:5	In the blink of an eye wealth disappears, for it will sprout wings and fly away like an eagle. money desires materialism
Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16	That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. beauty encouragement receiving
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10	For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. money evil greed

For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.

Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.
