Be Merciful even as your heavenly (2/4)

Let your loving kindness be on us, Yahweh, since we have hoped in you.Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.
As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them, even as on us at the beginning.“As I began to speak,” Peter continued, “the Holy Spirit fell on them, just as he fell on us at the beginning.”
This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.
Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get.
Therefore accept one another, even as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God.Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.
‘You shall not murder.’ ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ‘You shall not steal.’ ‘You shall not offer false testimony.’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ And, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear. Yes, I will carry, and will deliver.I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.
Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints.Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.
Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband. So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
May the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all men, even as we also do toward you.And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows.
My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad, even mine.My child, if your heart is wise, my own heart will rejoice!
Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is counted wise. When he shuts his lips, he is thought to be discerning.Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.
For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”For the commandments say, “You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not covet.” These—and other such commandments—are summed up in this one commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am Yahweh.Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
He who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word. For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.
My son, don’t despise Yahweh’s discipline, neither be weary of his correction; for whom Yahweh loves, he corrects, even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights. My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be upset when he corrects you. For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.
“Yet even now,” says Yahweh, “turn to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.”That is why the Lord says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning.”
But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take to yourself Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.”
Jesus therefore said to them again, “Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”
But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “Don’t fear what they fear, neither be troubled.”But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats.
If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much!

But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
