| You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace. | You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by the Law; you have fallen from grace. |
| Yahweh will be King over all the earth. In that day Yahweh will be one, and his name one. | And the Lord will be King over all the earth; on that day the Lord will be the only one, and His name the only one. |
| But say the things which fit sound doctrine. | But as for you, proclaim the things which are fitting for sound doctrine. |
| Yahweh God made a woman from the rib which he had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. | And the Lord God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. | For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin. | For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin. |
| It shall be, when he is guilty of one of these, he shall confess that in which he has sinned. | So it shall be when he becomes guilty of one of these things, that he shall confess that in which he has sinned. |

| But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. | Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. |
| So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. | You know this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Now everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. |
| He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.” | And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” |
| But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ. | But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is, Christ. |
| But I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified. | But I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified. |
| He sat down and called the twelve; and he said to them, “If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.” | And sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.” |
| Of his own will he gave birth to us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures. | In the exercise of His will He gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures. |
| Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin. | Because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin. |
| Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected. Be comforted. Be of the same mind. Live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. | Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice, mend your ways, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. |
| He called the multitude to himself with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” | And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.” |

| For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants to one another. | For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love. |
| Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator. | Do not lie to one another, since you stripped off the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self, which is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created it. |
| For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it. | In that I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, so that you may live and become numerous, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to take possession of it. |
| Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions, so iniquity will not be your ruin. | Repent and turn away from all your offenses, so that wrongdoing does not become a stumbling block to you. |
| Also, do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. | And do not go on presenting the parts of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, and your body’s parts as instruments of righteousness for God. |
