Who indeed conquers the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? | And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. |
There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save or to destroy. Who then are you to pass judgment on a neighbor? | God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor? |
There is no salvation in anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to men by which we can be saved. | There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. |
Our God is in heaven; he does whatever he pleases. | Our God is in the heavens, and he does as he wishes. |
