Coming of Jesus (2/4)

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.Seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue.
You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected. Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don’t expect, the Son of Man will come.
But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!“No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh.
The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with all the saints. Amen.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
A sign was fastened above Jesus’ head, announcing the charge against him. It read: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”They set up over his head the accusation against him written, “THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.”Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.”
No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.
Now may the God of peace— who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood— may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen. Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus, make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus.
May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Now the God of perseverance and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus.
But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ. But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
And every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.”Paul said, “John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Christ Jesus.”
For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.Jesus said to him, “Go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the way.
From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”From that time, Jesus began to preach, and to say, “Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”Jesus answered him, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.And the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
