And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you… Deuteronomy 10:12-13

And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good. Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever! Psalm 111:10	The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! awe wisdom worship

Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us. 1 John 3:24	Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them. But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey his commandments! You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.’ But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Moses remained there on the mountain with the Lord forty days and forty nights. In all that time he ate no bread and drank no water. And the Lord our God commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear him so he can continue to bless us and preserve our lives, as he has done to this day. Stay on the path that the Lord your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy. I have tried hard to find you— don’t let me wander from your commands. Psalm 119:10	With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! law righteousness heart
So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. Remember that you were once slaves in Egypt, but the Lord your God brought you out with his strong hand and powerful arm. That is why the Lord your God has commanded you to rest on the Sabbath day. Deuteronomy 5:15	You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands. Psalm 112:1	Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments! law love awe
You must faithfully keep all my commands by putting them into practice, for I am the Lord. Leviticus 22:31	So you shall keep my commandments and do them: I am the Lord. law obedience God
For we will be counted as righteous when we obey all the commands the Lord our God has given us. Deuteronomy 6:25	And it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to do all this commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us. obedience law righteousness
But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations. Daniel 9:5	We have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules. sin confession law
But be very careful to obey all the commands and the instructions that Moses gave to you. Love the Lord your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul. You must diligently obey the commands of the Lord your God—all the laws and decrees he has given you. Deuteronomy 6:17	You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies and his statutes, which he has commanded you. law obedience
Serve only the Lord your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him. Deuteronomy 13:4	You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him. awe listening following
For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are. Romans 3:20	For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. sin law righteousness
That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty. Ecclesiastes 12:13	The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. awe law life
God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. Acts 17:30	The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. repentance conversion forgiveness

Suppose you sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands. Even if you are unaware of what you have done, you are guilty and will be punished for your sin.

If anyone sins, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, though he did not know it, then realizes his guilt, he shall bear his iniquity.
