Eternal life (2/4)

He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.
For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.That is why he is the one who mediates a new covenant between God and people, so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them. For Christ died to set them free from the penalty of the sins they had committed under that first covenant.
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake will save it.If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.

For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse.For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
Therefore leaving the teaching of the first principles of Christ, let’s press on to perfection—not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith toward God, of the teaching of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. You don’t need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

For whoever finds me finds life, and will obtain favor from Yahweh.For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord.
Don’t be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing.
Therefore, brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble. For thus you will be richly supplied with the entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.
The result of humility and the fear of Yahweh is wealth, honor, and life.True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life.
Listen, my son, and receive my sayings. The years of your life will be many.My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life.
A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but deceit in it crushes the spirit.Gentle words are a tree of life; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.

Amen.Now may the God of peace— who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood— may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.
He is in the way of life who heeds correction, but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray.People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction will go astray.

For bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now and of that which is to come.Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.
