Yet even now, says the Lord, return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.“Yet even now,” says Yahweh, “turn to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.”

This rather is the type of fast that I wish: to loosen the fetters of injustice, to undo the thongs of the yoke, to set free those who are oppressed and to break every yoke.Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?
Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by mutual consent for a specified time so as to devote yourselves to prayer.
