Bible Verses about 'Generous'

The wicked borrow and never repay, but the godly are generous givers. The wicked borrow, and do not pay back, but the righteous are generous and keep giving.
The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.A generous person will be enriched, and one who gives water will get water.
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you.
Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.You will be enriched in every way for your great generosity, which will produce thanksgiving to God through us.
Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly. It is well with those who deal generously and lend, who conduct their affairs with justice.
They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.
In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone. For this very reason, you must make every effort to support your faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.
And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.
Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.Let the wicked forsake their way, and the unrighteous their thoughts; let them return to the Lord, that he may have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us!But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this freewill offering? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.
