God as friend (2/4)

For you, O God, have put us to the test; you have purified us as silver is refined. For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver.
My soul thirsts for God, the living God. When shall I come to behold the face of God?My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?
God abides in anyone who acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, and that person abides in God.If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.
As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit descended upon them just as it had upon us at the beginning. As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning.

May the Lord, our God, be with us, just as he was with our fathers; may he not leave us or abandon us.May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us nor forsake us.
And take the helmet of salvation as well as the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Therefore, a Sabbath rest still remains for the people of God, since those who enter into God’s rest also cease from their own labors as God did from his. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.
For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow before me, and every tongue shall give praise to God.”It is written: ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing.I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!
We have come to know and to believe in the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him.And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
Let us then make every effort to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall by following that example of refusing to believe.Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.
Rather, be kind to one another and compassionate, and forgive one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

As much as possible, and to the extent of your ability, live in peace with everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Seek good and not evil, so that you may live. Then the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you as you claim he is.Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is.
For who is God except the Lord? Who is a rock aside from our God?For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God?
Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
Come now and let us discuss this, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be like snow. Though they are as red as crimson, they shall become as white as wool.“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”
