God as friend (2/4)

For you, O God, have put us to the test; you have purified us as silver is refined. For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried.
My soul thirsts for God, the living God. When shall I come to behold the face of God?My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?
God abides in anyone who acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, and that person abides in God.God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God.
As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.As far as the east is from the west, so far he removes our transgressions from us.
As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit descended upon them just as it had upon us at the beginning. And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as it had upon us at the beginning.
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love.
May the Lord, our God, be with us, just as he was with our fathers; may he not leave us or abandon us.The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our ancestors; may he not leave us or abandon us.
And take the helmet of salvation as well as the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Therefore, a Sabbath rest still remains for the people of God, since those who enter into God’s rest also cease from their own labors as God did from his.So then, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God; for those who enter God's rest also cease from their labors as God did from his.
For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow before me, and every tongue shall give praise to God.”For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall give praise to God.”
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing.I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.
We have come to know and to believe in the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him.So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.
Let us then make every effort to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall by following that example of refusing to believe.Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall through such disobedience as theirs.
Rather, be kind to one another and compassionate, and forgive one another as God has forgiven you in Christ. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.
Indeed, who is God except the Lord? Who is the Rock besides our God?For who is God except the Lord? And who is a rock besides our God?
As much as possible, and to the extent of your ability, live in peace with everyone. If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
Seek good and not evil, so that you may live. Then the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you as you claim he is.Seek good and not evil, that you may live; and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you, just as you have said.
For who is God except the Lord? Who is a rock aside from our God?For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?
Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
Come now and let us discuss this, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be like snow. Though they are as red as crimson, they shall become as white as wool.Come now, let us argue it out, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be like snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.
