Him (3/4)

The one who eats everything must not look contemptuously on the one who does not, and the one who abstains must not pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed both.Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him.
For it is in him that the entire fullness of deity dwells in bodily form, and you share this fullness in him who is the head of every ruler and power. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.
The Lord is good, an unfailing refuge in a time of distress. He takes care of those who place their trust in him.The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.
Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we can approach God with confidence and receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do whatever is pleasing to him.Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.
No, throughout all these things we are conquerors because of him who loved us.No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above all other names, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
I can do all things in him who strengthens me.I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask him, we may be sure that all we ask of him will be ours. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
For it has been granted you not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for him.For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake.
Is anyone among you sick? He should send for the presbyters of the Church so that they may pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
After he said this, he was lifted up as they looked on, and a cloud took him from their sight. And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
While they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
And we are witnesses to these things, as is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.
But when the disciples saw him walking on the water they thought it was a ghost and they cried out, for they all had seen him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them, saying, “Have courage! It is I! Do not be afraid!”But when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
All those who keep his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And the proof that he abides in us is the Spirit that he has given us.Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but in order that the world might be saved through him.For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
For ‘In him we live and move and have our being.’ As even your own poets have said, ‘We are all his offspring.’For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are indeed his offspring.’
And if one should fall, his companion will help him up. How pathetic is the man who is alone and falls and has no one to assist him to his feet. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!
Above his head was inscribed the charge against him: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
The way of God is blameless, and the Lord’s promise proves true; he is a shield to all who flee to him for safety. This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.
The way of God is blameless; the Lord’s promise has proved true. He is a shield to all who take refuge in him. This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.
Then Peter addressed them: “I now understand how true it is that God has no favorites, but that in every nation all those who fear God and do what is right are acceptable to him.”So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.”
For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall also be united with him in his resurrection. We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be destroyed and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe in him already stands condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
And thus we can have confidence in him that if we ask anything that is in accordance with his will, he hears us.And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
