It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. He is the reflection of God's glory and the exact imprint of God's very being, and he sustains all things by his powerful word. But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your alms may be done in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
