| Brethren, we must always give thanks to God for you, and it is only right that we do so. | In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. | But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. |
| O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us, for we have placed our hope in you. | Let your loving kindness be on us, Yahweh, since we have hoped in you. |
