The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God. | The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. |
But God is my helper. The Lord keeps me alive! | But surely, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life. |
God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple. | If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple. |
I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. | I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus. |
Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God.
