In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. |
You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. | You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. |
I said to the Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.” | I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.” |
Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. | Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. |

I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths. | I have taught you the way of wisdom; I have led you in the paths of uprightness. |
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. | Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. |
Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” | Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” |
The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you. | The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you. |
In those days when you pray, I will listen. | Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. |

I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. | Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. |
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. | And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever. |
You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am. | You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. |
As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should! | I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous rules. |
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. | When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. |
I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! | These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. |
Do not add to or subtract from these commands I am giving you. Just obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you. | You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you. |
