| And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. | And every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. |

| Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? | Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? |
| There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. | Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. |
| But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. | Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh. |
| And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. | Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. |
| But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. | But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. |
| God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. | God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. |
| For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. | But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. | If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. |
| Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. | Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! | But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. | Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” |
| And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. | Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah. |
| Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. | Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” |
| When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. | When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. |

| Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. | He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
| And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. | Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last. |
