| Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. | That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. |

| But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life. | But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. |
| For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth. | God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. |
| But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you. For God the Father has given me the seal of his approval. | Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him. |
| Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” | Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” |

If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world. |
| Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. | He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. |
