For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. | For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. |
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. | He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. |

But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. | But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. |
He must become greater; I must become less. | He must increase, but I must decrease. |
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them. | He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. |
But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life. | But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. |
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. | God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. |
Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval. | Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. |
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” | Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. |
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” | And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. |
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. | I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. |
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. | He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. |
Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. | As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. |
Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! | What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? |
Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.” | Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. |
Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I am going to the one who sent me.” | Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. |
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.” | In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. |
Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. | He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. |
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” | Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. |
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” | Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. |
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.” | Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. |
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. | If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. |
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. | Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. |
I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. | I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. |
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. | The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. |
