| You call Me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’; and you are correct, for so I am. | Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. |
| So if I, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. | If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. |

| Truly, truly I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him. | Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. |

| I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you. | I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. |
| The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him. | He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. |

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. |
