| You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am. | You call Me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’; and you are correct, for so I am. |
| And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. | So if I, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. |

| Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. | Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.” | Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will follow My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.” |

Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. |
| You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. | You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. |
| Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. | I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. |
| But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! | If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. |
| When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. | My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. |
