| And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” | And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” |
| For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. | For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, this is the one who will save it. |
| And said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me.
