Bible Verses about 'Master'

Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.
His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.
For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”O my soul, you have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.”
Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them, and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back, not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.
Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.

Bible verse of the day

In my distress I called to the Lord;
I cried to my God for help.
From his temple he heard my voice;
my cry came before him, into his ears.
