In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets. | Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. |
Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it. | Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. |
Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. | Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. |
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. | Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. |
Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. | Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. |

And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. | And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. |
Are two sparrows not sold for an assarion? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all counted. So do not fear; you are more valuable than a great number of sparrows. | Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. |
Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. | Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. |
And the one who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. | And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. |
The one who has found his life will lose it, and the one who has lost his life on My account will find it. | He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. |
