And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. But as for me, I will be on the watch for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. | As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. |
If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are. | God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple. |
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, God, You will not despise. | The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God. |
No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us. | No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. |
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. | God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. |

Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His faithfulness to a thousand generations for those who love Him and keep His commandments. | Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands. |
But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases. | Our God is in the heavens, and he does as he wishes. |
Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? | Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? |
Yet I have been the Lord your God Since the land of Egypt; And you were not to know any god except Me, For there is no savior besides Me. | I have been the Lord your God ever since I brought you out of Egypt. You must acknowledge no God but me, for there is no other savior. |
No one is to say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. | And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else. |
For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. | But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. |
